Access by car

Leukerbad is situated in the Canton of Valais, in south-west Switzerland,

and can be reached conveniently and easily by public transport, by car or by plane.

By road
The roads to Leukerbad are excellent and also well-serviced in winter.

Traffic in the village is restricted: in the town centre there is a ban on night-time traffic

from 10 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. There are 1350 car-parking spaces.

Guests arriving from Germany or the German-speaking part of Switzerland are recommended to

put their cars on the train at Lötschberg.

The Swiss railway network is excellent. Consult the Internet site of the Swiss railways http://www.sbb.ch/. where you will find all necessary information.

Take a train to Brig or Visp: at Brig or Visp take a post-bus to Saas-Grund, Saas-Fee or Saas-Almagell. The post-bus timetables are included in the railway timetable.
Guests who arrive by plane at Geneva, Zurich or Basel airports can take the train/post-bus service, or rent a car.
