Motorway A9 from Lausanne to Vevey – to Sierre
From Sierre take the main road to Brig and then on to Mörel
From the north-west:
Motorway A6 from Bern – Thun – Spiez, continue on the main road
Kandersteg (car-transport on train) – Goppenstein – Gampel – Brig – Mörel
From eastern or central Switzerland
Andermatt – Realp (car-transport on train) – Oberwald – Mörel
From the south-east (Tessin):
Airolo – Nufenen Pass – Ulrichen – Mörel
From the south-west / Italy
Domodossola – Simplon pass – Brig – Mörel
From Italy
Aosta – Great St Bernard Tunnel – Martigny – continue on the motorway A9 to Sierre, from Sierre take the main road to Brig and then continue to Mörel
Parking in Mörel
Private cars are not allowed on the Riederalp, so please park in Mörel and then take the cable-car from there to Riederalp Middle or Riederalp West
Luggage
Luggage is transported by cable-car. Each passenger is allowed 2 pieces of luggage, maximum 25 kgs, free of charge. Additional weight can be carried on luggage trolleys for CHF 6. – single journey or CHF 8. - return. The luggage trolleys can be rented at both the valley and top stations. They must be returned to the stations after unloading.
