Welcome to Leukerbad
Leukerbad is the largest spa and wellness centre in Switzerland, and 3.9 million litres of hot water (up to 51 degrees C) flow daily out of 65 thermal springs. Its location in the midst of a magnificent range of mountains and the facilities available in Leukerbad are unique: the town offers everything to both the active and the leisure spa visitor. With its new Alpine Wellness complex, Leukerbad is a pioneer in the Swiss Alps. But besides its wellness programme, Leukerbad offers a wealth of sports facilities: tennis, squash, badminton, table-tennis, mini-golf, bowls, soccer, track and field sports, guided mountain hikes as well as the impressive fixed-rope climbing route to Daubenhorn.
Over 60 km of hiking trails take you to numerous scenic vantage points. While it is tempting to linger at the famous Gemmi pass and idyllic lake Dauben, you can enjoy the unique panoramic view of the Rhone valley and its 4000 metre high mountains in the Torrent area. The charm of the Gemmi pass has already cast its spell over personalities such as Mark Twain, Jules Verne and Pablo Picasso. See for yourself - you will feel the same.
