The descriptions of the Holyday Resorts are mostly being put
at our disposal by the Tourism offices.
Brunnen is situated attractively and centrally in the heart of Switzerland, between the mountains Urmiberg and Fronalpstock and directly at the Lake Lucerne.
Enjoy a round trip on the Lake Uri (finger of Lake Lucerne) on one of the historical paddle steamers and stop at the historic sites such as Rütli or Tellsplatte. You will collect unique memories hiking along the Swiss Path through the homeland of legendary William Tell.
Experience the Rigi, called the Queen of the Mountains, on a round trip with boat, cogwheel railway and train. Travel up to the village Stoos and from there to the Fronalpstock with its view to up to 10 different lakes. Many other places of excursions nearby promise many diverse hikes, always with the great Lake Lucerne in sight.
Also in the winter Brunnen and its surrounding have much to offer. In just a little time you can reach the ski areas of Stoos-Fronalpstock with the longest chair lift in Central Switzerland (heated). Other ski areas such as the the Mythen Region, Sattel-Hochstuckli, Rigi, Hoch-Ybrig, Andermatt-Gemsstock oder Klewenalp-Stockhütte can be reached within 40 minutes. In February, Brunnen is one of the main carnival places in Central Switzerland.
