Lötschental Summer

The unique flora and fauna, the rustic and traditional village panorama as well as the most beautiful close-of-valley in the Alps make the magic Lötschental one of the most natural and unspoilt valleys in the Valais. In the Lötschental one finds no Hollywood - but traditional culture with a strong meaning; no artificial structures - but pristine beauty with the force of the houses, no tedious nature - but a varied, rich plant and animal life and the eternal ice. All of this is magic, all of this you find at the Lötschental.

With its unique mountainous backdrop and the most beautiful close-of-valley in the Alps, the

Lötschental is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Valais. With 200 km of marked hiking trails, the Lötschental is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. Especially families will love the “Lötschental Legend Trail” (this is the best-known section of the “Lötschental Alpine Trail”), which takes hikers from the Lauchernalp to the Fafleralp - a walk of approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes. Ten different legends take you into a mysterious world of myths and fairytales. A legend quiz with questions about the legend trail makes this hiking tour a real experience for both young and old.

Walking and Pilgrimages: It is no longer a secret that the Lötschental is an exceptionally beautiful hiking aera.

The Grenadiers of God can be seen taking part in the processions on the Feast of Corpus Christi, on Benediction Sunday (the Sunday following Corpus Christi) and at dedication services.
