The villages Ringgenberg and Goldswil, 4 minutes from Interlaken situated on Lake Brienz, are the ideal starting point for excursions to the Jungfrau Region, the Schilthorn and much more.
Ringgenberg with about 2500 inhabitants and Goldswil, with 600 inhabitants form one of the larger political communities of the Jungfrau Region.
The villages have been able to keep their typical Bernese Oberland chalet style alive over the past decades due to a strict building code.
The natural lido Burgseeli, a small lake situated between Goldswil and Ringgenberg, is a popular destination for people from all over. The water's warm temperature reaching up to 26° C allows bathing from as early as May through to September. In the unspoilt beauty of a nature reserve you can swim amongst the ducks and water lilies.
Trains, busses and boats
Both villages are accessible by boat, bus and the “Zentralbahn” from Interlaken and Lucerne. Hourly a bus service connects Ringgenberg-Goldswil with the whole region. In summer as well as winter you can reach by way of the Bernese Oberland and the Jungfrau railways the beautiful hiking and skiing region of the Jungfrau. After a one-hour ride along the famous holiday resorts Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Mürren, and Grindelwald, you reach our fascinating alpine world.
For hiking (unique is our pathway to the planets) or biking Ringgenberg-Goldswil is ideal. An immense network of marked hiking paths with view of lakes and mountains are a walker's and hiker's dream.
Mountaineers' dream. For mountainbikers the villages offer varied adventures. Bike rentals at reasonable prices are possible at the local bike shop.
