Wengen (1274 m) - a car-free, traditional yet trendy holiday resort lying on a sheltered, sun-soaked terrace, 400 metres above the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. This amazing area offers family fun, hiking and superb skiing at Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg and the Eiger Glacier. Since 1893, Wengen has been easily accessible from Lauterbrunnen with the historic Wengernalp Railway (WAB). Wengen has 1405 inhabitants and offers 5000 beds in 22 hotels and 500 apartments. The top events are the international Lauberhorn World Cup race and the Jungfrau Marathon.

Winter
The Region Jungfrau Top Ski is in winter the ideal starting point. The ski center Kleine Scheidegg - Männlichen with the famous down hill ski race from the Lauberhorn and Eigerglacier and a lot of red and blue runs which ensure that nobody misses out on skiing. The resort is one of to the most attractive and popular winter sport regions in Switzerland. In January the international ski race takes place, probably the most spectacular World Cup Race in the whole ski circus. Also non-skiers chose it for relaxation and peace, fresh air and especially long sunshine in Winter.

Summer
The holiday resort, the center of the Berner Oberland offers hikes and mountain walks of varying  difficulties. 500km of sign posted hiking trails as well as 15 different mountain transportations in the nearest environment which bring you to the nicest viewpoints near to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Located in the heart of Switzerland, Wengen is the central starting point for unforgettable excursions. For example to the Männlichen (mountain in front of our door), the Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe (the highest located train station on 3454m) or the Schilthorn with Piz Gloria (the highest situated turning restaurant of the alps on 2970m).
