Summer

Enjoy surprises? Then we look forward to introducing you to another world – the world of our fascinating mountain landscape and unspoiled natural surroundings. Here unbounded nature meets the variety of urban life, and primitive chalet contrasts with five-star hotel, rustic cheese parlour with gourmet restaurant, mountain quiet with teeming shopping street, colourful alpine pasture with museums.

Are you a nature lover? Then you are spoiled for choice here at the start of each day. How about a morning ramble through the glorious gorge “Zügenschlucht” to Wiesen? Or why not make a detour to Rinerhorn’s “hands-on” zoo, or take an excursion to the botanical world of the Alpinum on the Schatzalp? Or walk in the exquisitely beautiful valleys of Flüela, Dischma and Sertig, where idyllic Walser settlements await you an time seems to stand still.

Fancy something different every day? No problem. Nowhere is the range of options so wide as in Davos. Our mountain railways carry you up to breathtaking mountain peaks. More than 700 km of rambling trails lead you through scented meadows, forests and mountain pasture. You can pedal up hill and down dale over 600 km of cycling routes; or paraglide in tandem over valley and mountain. One thing is clear: in Davos you only do what you fancy.

Are you a night owl? Then this is the place for you! Round the clock, it’s all go in Davos. Whether you eat in a homely rustic “stübli” or savour more refined pleasures of the palate in a gourmet restaurant, daytime is lively. Or sample the theatre, a concert, the cinema or casino, before turning night into day in the romantic piano bars and discotheques with international flair.

Aching muscles? Who cares! In addition to all its sporting facilities, Davos offers a great deal of culture. International jazz bands play at various venues in and around Davos during the jazz festival “Davos Sounds Good” while the Davos Festival, “young artists in concert”, features the world’s finest up-and-coming musicians.

Winter

Would you like to do something different every day? Try out the unique attractions Davos has to offer: the largest natural ice rink in Europe, two artificial ice rinks, paragliding and hang-gliding schools, frozen waterfalls to climb up, kilometre-long freeride slopes, professional winter fun parks, snowshoe touring, adventurous sledge runs up to 8 km long, an architecturally impressive ice hall and, naturally, countless indoor and cultural attractions.

Looking for a change? Even away from the ski slopes, you will never be bored in Davos. Relax on a beautiful sun terrace, in the sauna, at yoga or with a massage.
