The SCHÖNEGG is a small family owned hotel which does accommodate as maximum 75 people in 33 double rooms, 2 suites and 1 family apartment.

 

The GRANDHOTEL SCHÖNEGG is situated in the most beautiful location, overlooking Zermatt and with a spectacular view of the famous Matterhorn. The hotel has its own private lift – “The Schönegg Express“ - which takes you from the town centre straight up to the reception.

 

The Sunnegga lift and the bus stop for the Klein Matterhorn lift are within one minute’s walk from the tunnel entrance; the Gornergrat train, the main station and the village centre are all within five minutes walk.

 

Our hotel is well known for its fine cooking and choice of wines. Our „Gourmet-Stübli“ offers an excellent choice of a la carte dishes or for our half board guests (breakfast buffet and dinner) our chefs create a five course meal ending every day on a high point!
